Black Friday, doubtful gift ideas...

I ran across this on Etsy. For the life of me I don't understand who this ad is supposed to appeal to -- rapstas/gangstas? the gay community? What's with the hat and glove accessories? The weird thumb placement? Who would buy this based on the staging and accessories? Honestly, it would have more appeal photographed on a hanger, it ain't a bad shirt!

Another tough sell
I understand the appeal of vintage, but it does have its limits. When was the last time you saw someone wear an Applique skirt??!!! Is it a fashion trend whose resurgence is looong overdue?

as a person with a marketing major I am completely discombobulated by the marketing "staging" of the dressage shirt...what a great piece, but what an uninspiring presentation for dressage enthusiasts...i am there with you all the way...

A Gay Gangsta? lol Maybe the skirt is for those that also wear holiday sweaters with 3-D effects? You want a shock on horse stuff you should pop over to Hermes website.

What the heck??? The shirt is kind of cute, but that ad ruins its appeal as far as I'm concerned.

Well, at least the skirt doesn't have a poodle....

You know, I'm convinced that t-shirt is being marketed to gangsta rap-loving boyfriends who will be standing on the sidelines texting their homes and cheering on their "fancy-a$$, horse-ridin'" girlfriends to glory in the dressage arena.

There's totally a niche market for that shirt, Stacy. Sheesh! ;-)

I peeked at her profile which says "Fashion Institute of NY", need we say more? If you ever need a laugh, there is a Twit *cough* er-er that finds some real doozies: UglySh-tOnEtsy Sometimes I see what sells and think I should be afraid; be VERY afraid...

That first ad is very humorous...which is too bad coz the t-shirt is not too bad! The skirt is totally BAD! I don't know who on earth would wear that!

Well I am an old lady so I would naturally think that is a really weird add. Too bad, because the shirt is very nice. Guess this appeals to some people. But I think it is gross.
Oh and by the way, I have an award for you for a best blog. You have to go to my blog to receive it. Congratulations.

Love it! That's the funniest thing I've seen in a while! I'm with hls - definitely niche marketing!
