More inspection photos (a new Project Runway?)

Again we're looking at photos from the Fair Hill inspection, USEventing blog. At the risk of sounding like Michael Kors on Project Runway, Jill Walton shows impeccable fashion sense, showing up in an outfit that suits her and absolutely offsets My Sedona's coloring. The white pants bring out the blaze, the russet tones bring out the Sedona's coat color, the hat just brings it all home. What a super pair...

Here are Nate Chambers and Rolling Stone II. Both horse and rider share the same moody, somber gaze, it's a dramatic image. Change the backdrop and the clothing, this could be Heathcliff with his black horse in a remake of the gothic romance Wuthering Heights.

Oh, and I love the sideburns.

I do like that fashion statement in the first pic. It looks as if Jill really thought it out.

I think Nate should have been in at least charcoal grey though. The tan makes too much contrast.

Wonder if the turnout clothes impress the judges at all. At the driving competition, there is a separate award for turn out, as I recall.

But wouldn't a Project Runway assessment be fun! *G*

I agree. They all look fabulous! The inspection and the cross country look like the best parts of eventing!

Fun photos! I do like the first one, very good fashion sense. A horsey Project Runway would be quite fun!

Those are great pictures and the first one is really good with all the colors matching. I do like the second one too, the horse is so good looking.

I really like Jill's outfit. They could be twins. Very snappy.

I love the second picture! I have been huge fans of Nate and Rolling Stone II since watching their dressage and cross country at the AEC's this year. They really impressed me during dressage: Rolling Stone was the only horse not consistently behind the vertical for the test, and the pair ended in 3rd, I believe! It was sad to watch the Advanced horses and every one of them be behind the vertical for large parts of their test... except these guys! Huge kudos.

Jill's got perfect horse fashion sense. It's amazing what attention to details can do for an edge. . .
