Steady Hands! For the wobbly rider and frenemy

Include a card that says, "This is really a gift for your horse."

Steady Hands

Steady Hands helps keep hands still while maintaining an elastic giving feel on the bit. Steady Hands is the perfect tool for Dressage riders as well as other disciplines. Steady Hands is made of soft rolled nylon for low maintenance with elastic ends and is longer than a bucking strap for the perfect hand position. Steady Hands snap to your saddle D-rings.

  1. Nice idea, but bet you could make one using a bungee cord....

I have to admit, though, horsemen seem to be very creative in trying to find easy solutions to riding problems. I still think it's mostly a matter of "practice makes perfect," but if I device does no harm and actually helps, then so be it.

  2. Where do you find this stuff? lol! I've been reading along and I just LAUGH. People really buy this? Couldn't you save a buck and tie some string or even twine in place of that?
    Amazing (shaking head)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for entertaining me all year long!!

  3. Wow, except for it's merits as the perfect gift for a frenemy, this really is an awful invention!

How are "steady hands" tied to the saddle any good for a horse?!

IMHO A "steady" hand is not immobile at all! A steady hand must have a steady connection from bit to hand and not from hand to saddle. If the hands are sort of "fixed" to the saddle, the rider has no chance of giving and "letting out" the neck movement.

With that "Aid" the horse will most likely get a tug to the mouth with every step. Really great invention. *sigh*

The message to the frenemy is pretty priceless though. ;-)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

  5. You are too funny!

Maybe you can find a frenemy gift for my drifting lower leg. When I did ride I was threatened every ride with having my leg duct taped to the girth. lol

P.S. Just wanted to add the magnets I won awhile back are wonderfully useful with holding my recipes on the fridge. =)
