Hawley Bennet helmet-cam at Burghley

Wow, that's a lotta galloping! She had one stop, but a great ride on her mare Gin'nJuice...

  1. Wow!! What a great ride. Almost makes me want to event again, I was so caught up in it. (Never rode at that level, of course, but the exhilaration does not fade....)

Guess the "stop" was that run out at the white rail corner jump? Just a bit of a "not quite prepared" moment.

Love too that the mare's ears were pricked and listening the whole ride with no sign at all of fatigue. She was properly fit, properly trained, and has one incredible attitude.

Thanks so much for posting this.

  2. Dang... I am beat just watching that! I just don't know how they do it, horse and rider both. Lots and lots of practice, like everything else, I guess.

  3. Ah, a completely safe way to participate in a grueling cross country course! Love it.

I thoroughly enjoyed her chastisement of the running bunch ... like those horses need any distractions!

  4. Wow! They are so brave! Those banks/drop off would scare the crap out of me. Heck just watching the video I caught my breath lol. I love helmet cams. What a fun way to see what it's like. :)

I can't believe those kids were running. I'm glad she said something to them. Brats.

    Great video. Thanks for sharing.
