If wishes were horses (Claire Lynch)

I love this song, "If wishes were horses" by Claire Lynch. It's catchy, it's high-energy, it's bluegrass, and it's got horses in it! Give it a listen -- do you know any other "horse songs" that are not well known and fun to listen to?

  2. In the musical of The Secret Garden there's a song sung by the housemaid, to the little girl who's complaining about having nothing to do. "If I Had a Fine White Horse, I'd take you for a ride today"

  4. "Tennessee Stud" - that may be considered well known though...

Then there's "Goodbye Horses" but I'm not sure that qualifies as "fun to listen to" what with it being from Silence of the lambs and all...

I have a fondness for shipwreck songs myself. None seem to get any better than "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

I like Marianne Kennedy's songs a lot too (I think that's her name, anyway).
