Mule dressage: Smiles guaranteed

I love this ride and I love the videographer comments. It's a stressful job, videotaping, but Bob handles it with grace. Notice that the reader amends the instructions to match this pair, e.g.,  saying in the stretchy trot instructions, "allowing the mule to stretch forward and downward." As much as I love the footage this is a tribute to the ground crew of any dressage competitor. We can't do it without you guys....

Oh -- and in my untrained-biased-layman's opinion, this pair deserved a better score than a 64.something percent.

  1. What a lovely mule and lovely ride! He just looks so sweet and willing. No "stubborn as" visible here, LOL.

  2. I'm really enjoying these posts about sport mules! Please keep it up. It's always been a fantasy of mine to have one of my own.

I once saw what looked like a yearling Friesian mule being ponied behind another horse on the sand dunes by the beach. Boy, that mule was an exceptional creature! So floaty, and with a delightful mealy muzzle and long ears.

  3. Beyond adorable! Love the attentive ears. Awwww. There was a big dark brown mule showing at our local dressage venue last summer. I just about died.
