Make mine a Bourbon

So, at least one reader has commented "I thought this was supposed to be a horse blog?"

Yes, yes it is. But between the passing of my father, and the horrific weather, I'm finding little to write about my own horses (it's not like I'm riding in this snow-covered wonderland). I was in Kentucky for 3-4 weeks in 2015. And to be honest, my mind is more on my mom and dad, and our family.

That said, March is here. While I don't have much time to write, I do have time to peruse the March Hanoverian auctions. Here is my favorite! There are many nice ones but I love this guy's canter.

  1. I am a firm believer in "my blog, my rules." Take all the time you need. We know you'll get back to horses eventually.

  2. Please continue to share about your family. It's who you are; how you came to be a horsewoman and animal lover. AND it is balm for the soul in your stress filled life. People really do need to learn there's no need to express every thought, especially on another person's blog.

  3. I find some of your non-horse posts to be very interesting. Love some of the old pics :)

  4. It's your blog to write about and express yourself however you see fit.

Sorry to hear about your father.

That horse is just beautiful. I like all of his gaits.

  6. Echoing the responses above. I came originally for the horse stories but the slice of life entries are so very interesting as well. Plus I've loved the old pictures.
