I thought maybe they could use him to improve upon existing mustangs instead of allowing wild, unproved stallions to breed instead, but then the logistics of making that happen are next to impossible. Would be very cool to hear about it from Patty herself!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6317822193674196694.post-44603208742548948042010-11-01T22:15:23.904-04:002010-11-01T22:15:23.904-04:00First I would like to say thank you to Behind the ...First I would like to say thank you to Behind the Bit for covering Padre's story so well. It is my new favorite blog and the only one I read regularly. I have been asked many times why is Padre' still a stallion and the answer is easy. If he behaved like a stallion, he would be a gelding. Of the three times we showed in hand, the judges all stopped to compliment Padre's wonderful Patti Gruberhttp://pattibrutus2@aol.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6317822193674196694.post-37701533758929555032010-11-01T19:45:53.013-04:002010-11-01T19:45:53.013-04:00Hi Anon,

She bought him uncut, and he's gentle, and gelding at his age is non-trivial. Why not leave him entire? There are mustang breeding programs out there, one managed by a top breeder of Stacey Kimmel-Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08498926535389535263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6317822193674196694.post-59457208327064909102010-11-01T19:36:47.966-04:002010-11-01T19:36:47.966-04:00He's a beautiful horse and definitely worthy o...He's a beautiful horse and definitely worthy of being a stallion, but I wonder who breeds to him? There are enough pure mustangs out there and I think many are killed for overpopulation reasons (or so it is claimed). Is there any demand for mustang crosses? I'm not trying to stir up trouble, just genuine want to know who is breeding to this horse?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6317822193674196694.post-52320977484913205452010-11-01T18:53:12.506-04:002010-11-01T18:53:12.506-04:00He is a pretty boy.
