The couple was definitely Irish and it turns out they own the horse's sire. Bob being Irish, he shared a little of his own personal history and they had a chat about the county Bob's family is from and his family name, Crowley. Here they are being interviewed...
"You can bump into anyone here"
Everywhere we walked, it was easy to meet and talk to people, and if you're ballsy you can find a lot of "famous" people to approach. I am not the type to do this -- just sayin'. To my right at the warmup ring was Karen and David O'Connor. Behind me was Darren Chiacchia. As we went to leave the grounds, we got caught up in a crowd and I was caught up in a wave of moving people that ultimately caused me to collide with a tall gentlemen that turned out to be William Fox-Pitt. We made a rough contact, shoulder to shoulder. I didn't mind so much :-).
Love his enthusiasm at the changes. He's not quite settled into them, but he made an honest, energetic effort. Quite a beautiful fellow and a well ridden test.
