I have a registered Paint and his mum is listed as a chestnut AQHA mare, so at least that was the rule when he was born! Mom and Dad must be Paints, so my Chance would not be eligible even though his mom is a paint, because his dad is a Hanovarian/American Warmblood.<br /><br />Pinto refers purely to coloring and can be any breed. So you could have a pinto Saddlebred, for example.
