"Just don't scare the horses..."

Does it really matter what these affectionate people do-so long as they don't do it in the streets and frighten the horses!~attributed to Beatrice Stella Tanner (Mrs. Patrick) Campbell, English actress (1865-1940).

Going for cheap laughs now! A streaker disrupts an equestrian event in Amsterdam. His cause was animal rights, and I guess he was protesting show jumping (makes horses jump against their will). We should all live as well as the elite show jumpers! Wish he'd picked a different sporting event, I'd be more supportive.

  1. I now have to go hunt down a new keyboard. I watched the video with no sound, (can not take sounds early in the day- not enough coffee yet!) and got giggling so hard at the streaker that coffee came out of my nose....

Thanks for the link here! Good way to start the day!

  2. Ha!

I'd have been more impressed if he'd leapt over one of those jumps! But then I guess a naked horse would have to run into the arena to make it's protest known... after all, it's hardly natural for people to jump that height, is it?

  3. hahaha...I love that streakers always try to run! Like they are hard to spot when they get back to the crowd again! The horse didn't seem to care one bit that someone was running through his course!

  4. I got a good chuckle out of this one! Takes me back to the legendary Washington International Horse Show streaker. I can't remember the year, but he galloped into the ring, bareback, [ouch!] jumped the outside line of jumps, and galloped back out again. Identity unknown, as he had a pumpkin on his head.[well, it was Halloween after all] Rumor has it, he was a groom who had accepted a bet. Who was that masked man?

  5. I love that one of the guys came after him with a rake.

Having seen some pretty hairy warmup rings, one naked man may not have looked like much to horse or rider!

  6. Yes! That was the part that had me cracking up the most - that one of the guys chasing him had the rake!!

  7. I would have been more impressed if he took a few jumps too. I give the rider a lot of credit for sticking the course out and not laughing her head off and of course the horse deserves credit too. And so does the guy with the rake! Pretty funny for his few naked minutes of fame.
