Art of the dressage whip

I just discovered some nice short videos on horse.com. The first one I encountered is a little tutorial on the dressage whip -- using it in hand, mostly. I like the narrator's analogy of using the whip not to punish but as an extension of your body...

    At least he called it a dressag whip instead of a "carrot stick" or "wand" or some other magical moniker.

    I find the handle a very good ground training tool to teach, "back" and "shoulder over" to in hand. Cool.

    How is Riley? Still no limp or signs on pain on that foot? Keeping good thoughts for you both here.
