Moving in synch: Photo from Rolex

Did I mention Rolex??? Can't. Wait. This is one of the neatest moments of horse and human I've ever seen -- the pair is from Mendoza Dressage and they have lots of photos on their web site (this is one of them). The horse is, I believe, a stallion.

  2. Julio is a great guy, and yes, Ivan, the stallion, is lovely. They've been regulars on the East coast forever.

  3. I have only heard great things about Julio - and the way the horse world works, the nasty things travel farther and more loudly. Also a great picture!

  5. Julio is honestly the nicest guy ever. I was stabled across from his group at a large dressage show. One of my friends was trainig with him at the time. It was my youngster's second show, and I had a couple disappointing early rides. Julio made a point to tell me that the large indoor arena in which my youngster spooked had been giving even the seasoned competitors problems. He was very encouraging. The next day I won my training level class, and he and his whole group congratulated me and celebrated with me (told me to dance the blue ribbon down the aisle!). They didn't even know me, and they were just amazingly nice. He also made a remarkable difference in my friend's horse in just a short time training. If I could afford to put my guy in full training there, I would do it in a heartbeat.

  6. They are local to us - Julio and his wife are very nice and low-key. Their facility is beautiful, filled with equally-impressive horses. That is a great picture!
