Bucking pony and the Pas De Deux

Riley's temp has been 99-100 since Wed, the leg swelling is greatly reduced, and he has not had any anti-inflammatorries since his one gram of bute on Wed pm. Last night he did try to bolt from me while I handwalked him (or maybe he spooked). He jumped forward, I held on, and his feet went out from under him. He landed on his hip and side. Dazed, and a little breathless at first, but basically fine.

This was sent to me by a reader/blogger. Pretty cute...

  1. Thanks for posting this one. It is the best pas de deux I have ever seen. Not only is it amazing to see such two different horses match gaits so well, but the choice of music and choreography show off the talents and personalities of both so well.

And best of all, as it says, dressage should be fun! Who can possibly watch that video and not smile??!!

  2. Ooops, meant to add a note of encouragement for Riley. And hey, next time watch where you step, buddy. You're supposed to keep your feet under you, not end up under your feet.

  3. Poor Riley - oops! - hope he's not too banged up. It's good news that his temperature is down.

The pas de deux is very fun!

  4. Glad to hear Riley's doing a bit better!

  5. Poor Riley, the baby want to move faster than a walk. Hope he is in good spirits and not sore, I always get scared seeing a horse go down on their hip hard since Saint Liam's accident.

That video was so cute, the person on the pony is brave to ride in front of an right behind such a big guy. I would love to own a shire or a clyde, big lovable lugs.
