  1. You are SO bad!! I had to look at the pictures to get the results. For the rest of the world, a blue ribbon here in the USA is a first place.

Congratulations. But what's even better...Riley looks terrific, so no matter what the competition, he was spectacular. And it looks as if he behaved himself, so that counts even more.

    You should be SOOOOOO proud!!!

  2. Hey, by the by, if you show there again, keep me posted. It's a drive from here, but not too crazy? Any chance you'd hit the big shows at the NJ Horse Park?? That's a hop, skip and jump for me and the showgrounds are really wonderful.

  4. Thanks Jean,

This is his first "away game" as a riding horse so I was a little nervous. It was a gorgeous day and he went well, and that is all I can ask.

There were two other horses in the under saddle portion -- an RPSI gelding that didn't perform at his best due to flies (hopped around a little at the canter); and a lovely haflinger that just didn't have those springy gaits.

The blue is great, it's a good photo op, but it's not the point. I'm totally bustin' at the seams with pride for Olivia (his trainer) and for Riley's wonderful kind attitude. He's got Harv's kind nature, and that's saying alot.

  5. We're planning to do the Tues evening dressage this coming Tues, and we'll be at Devon (also on a Tuesday, first class of the day). It would be fun to do the Horse Park, it's a great venue. I'll have to look and see what shows are there...

  6. Could we do a meet and greet of folks that follow your blog at Devon? It'd be awesome to meet you. I'll be at Devon with my mare. We're just doing an IBC class on Thursday.

  8. Stacey, do you plan to be at the Middletown Grange Fair? I'm partly pondering taking the day off to go there on the Saturday, to watch the horse show. :D

  9. Good to go in a strange and busy environment as evidenced by the pretty blue ribbon: Hooray for Riley!

  10. The MGS is in the middle of the freshman move-in and orientation of our new students -- vacation during that time is verboten, but it sounds like a fun show.

I wonder if we could find a show grounds equi-distant from those of us in the area...
