Shoulder-in Anyone?

Last week, Riley did some lovely shoulder-ins and I reminded myself to get them on video this week. Well, when you've got a camcorder sometimes it jinxes things -- the shoulder-ins are nice here, but Riley didn't melt into them submissively like he did last week -- it took a bit of convincing. But for only 2-3 sessions into learning the movement it still looks good to me.

  2. A little fussy now and then, but that is to be expected as he learns to find his balance. Looks as if he is progressing nicely.

I like how forward he looks through all the exercises. Riley is one talented boy!

  4. His trot is lovely. Lots of forward and tracking up. The shoulder in is coming nicely for only the 2nd or 3rd time - very nice.

  5. Where. Is. Her. Helmet?!?! Schooling a young horse with no helmet? No matter how great a rider, safety first! Like a driver and safety belts in a car, if the trainer doesn't take responsibility to wear one, the owner must insist.
